Candida and Obesity

Anyone who’s in the natural health community will tell you that a yeast infection is the most under-diagnosed health problem in the world today. Especially in North America where curiously enough, the level of obesity is skyrocketing, is it any surprise to find that as many as 90% of those who are obese also have Candida.

It sounds incredible but true, as there is a connection between Candida and obesity. It’s also true that if these people were to cleanse Candida from their bodies they’d immediately lose between 10-20 pounds of weight. Beyond this they’d actually keep the weight off and would keep losing weigh increasingly.

The question that persists is: can Candida infections actually be cured for life? The answer is yes but it isn’t that simple. You see trying to treat and eliminate Candida first would be similar to washing your car and then driving down a muddy path. As long as the path stays muddy, there can be no hope of keeping the car clean. You need to take a different path. The same is true with Candida, you need to change the terrain in order to achieve lasting results.

Natural Solutions:  The use of probiotics are a great beginning step in reducing the fungal growths and allowing a level of good bacteria. Diet takes this step even further by repairing the terrain so it’s healthy enough to sustain proper flora growth. However, more is required to cure Candida infections for life.

What I mean by this is that the root cause that’s allowed the Candida growth to come about in the first place must be addressed. Knowing the root cause is the only way to find an effective treatment.  Root Causes:   For some it’s allergies, for others it can be parasites. In my opinion the number one cause is neither of these, but a major organ malfunction– and unless this is healed–you can never be cured from your Candida Infection.

To summarize:

1. The root cause must be addressed and treated as well as a natural Candida Infection treatment.
2. Drugs used to treat Candida should be avoided as they can cause further problems and allow the yeast to become resistant to the same anti-fungal in the future.
3. Since Candida and obesity are related, a healthy diet plan would be a wise path to start on.
4. In order for Candida infections to be cured for life you must be willing to devote yourself to healing. Only then can true healing occur.
